Gamarjoba — A Glimpse Into Georgia’s Rich Traditions Through My Lens
“Gamarjoba” — a warm hello in Georgian, a word that welcomed me into a country filled with rich traditions, breathtaking landscapes, and warm-hearted people.
Georgia, nestled in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains, is a land of its own unique language, customs, and centuries-old trading history. From the vibrant colors of traditional clothing to the soulful rhythm of their dances, Georgian culture is deeply rooted in pride and resilience.
I had the incredible opportunity to photograph this beautiful culture while working as a photographer for international golf tournaments and events held in Georgia. Beyond the fairways and championship trophies, I found myself immersed in moments of authentic cultural beauty — local performances, traditional feasts, and mountain vistas that looked like paintings.
Being there wasn’t just about documenting a sports event. It became a chance to witness and preserve glimpses of Georgian heritage through my camera. It was an unforgettable experience that reminded me how deeply culture and tradition can live side by side with modern celebrations.
